Handprinted in black ink on softly textured, delicate, handmade Japanese paper with traditional deckled edges, each print is pulled by hand, so slight variations make every piece one of a kind.

    Paper: Lightweight, Japanese handmade paper

    Format: Unframed and unmounted, shipped on a sturdy backing board.

    Authentication: Titled, signed and numbered

  • Each print begins as a hand-drawn design which I transfer to a linoleum block and carve using traditional carving tools. Once carved, the block is inked and printed by hand—without a press—using a baren and the back of a spoon to apply pressure and transfer the ink to the paper.

    The result is a unique impression each time, with subtle variations that reflect the care and craft of the process.
